Every product we recommend has either been fished with by our team or assessed against clear, published criteria — build quality, value, real-world performance and how it holds up over a season. We score against those criteria rather than a vague star rating, and we say plainly when something is not worth your money.

How we verify fisheries

Our fisheries directory lists prices, species, rules and facilities with the date we last checked them. Information comes from the fishery itself, published rules or a visit. If something changes, tell us and we will update it.
