Bewl Water
Bewl offers the scale and scenery of a major south-eastern reservoir with a long trout season and a genuinely different winter predator option. An on-site café, fishing shop and camping give it strong destination appeal.
Rules
The trout fishery is fly-oriented, with boat fishing available; an EA rod licence is required. Predator kayak sessions are catch-and-release for pike and perch. Private or independent boat launching is unspecified. Best months and methods (Better Angler editorial suggestion, not a guarantee of catch rates): April-June and September-November for fly-fished trout; October-February for permitted pike and perch sessions.
