Draycote Water
Draycote is one of the Midlands' established large-water trout destinations, combining open-water boat fishing with productive bank areas and a reputation for quality rainbows.
Rules
Primarily fly fishing for trout from bank and boat. Predator fishing uses separate permits and dates. Some bank sections have had temporary access restrictions during works, including Rainbow Corner and dam-related areas, so check the live fishery page before travel. Best months and methods (Better Angler editorial suggestion, not a guarantee of catch rates): March-June and September-November for fly fishing with buzzers, nymphs, dries and lure patterns; take seasonal predator sessions when explicitly offered.
