With more than 2,000 acres of water, a long fishable shoreline and boat hire, Kielder delivers genuine big-reservoir fishing. On-site lodge accommodation makes it one of the easiest venues here to treat as a multi-day trip.
Rules
Multiple methods are offered under the permit structure. Boat use is via authorised hire only; published visitor guidance requires advance boat booking and applies occupancy and age safety controls. Best months and methods (Better Angler editorial suggestion, not a guarantee of catch rates): March-June and September-October, using fly, spinning or permitted bait tactics from the bank, and hired boats to cover the huge water more efficiently.
