Llandegfedd Lake

Llandegfedd offers more than a conventional Welsh trout reservoir: a mix of fly fishing, designated bait areas, coarse species and famous pike history broadens its appeal considerably. Modern accessible visitor facilities are another strength.

Rules

Trout may be fly fished from bank or boat; boats are fly-only. Ledgered worm is allowed only in designated bank areas, including the East Bank and Bill Smith's Bay, under published rules. An EA rod licence is required for relevant anglers. Best months and methods (Better Angler editorial suggestion, not a guarantee of catch rates): March-June and September-October for trout, primarily fly fishing from bank or boat, using the designated worm areas only where explicitly permitted. Pike should be targeted only during current authorised sessions.
