Pitsford Water
Pitsford is a compact, varied reservoir that gives trout anglers plentiful bays, points and bank options while retaining a serious predator side. Its lodge-led setup makes permits, boats and tackle unusually straightforward.
Rules
Trout fishing is managed as a fly fishery. Predator fishing is tightly seasonal and method-controlled, with lure and fly boat periods and later deadbait windows; only sea deadbaits are permitted for the published deadbait fishery. Biosecurity guidance applies. Best months and methods (Better Angler editorial suggestion, not a guarantee of catch rates): March-June and September-January for trout from bank or boat; autumn and winter for pike and perch under the published lure, fly and deadbait calendar.
