River Teme – Cotheridge
Cotheridge is a River Teme fishery that Birmingham Anglers Association presents as more suitable for adventurous anglers because of steep banks and fast-flowing water. Barbel and chub are the two species expressly identified. The official boundary plan marks the controlled bank on the Cotheridge side; it should not be read as permission to fish the opposite bank or the whole loop of river shown on the drawing. The published coordinate is the entrance to the car-park track from the A44, not a riverside parking position. Current directions describe a signed gateway beyond the former entrance, followed by an immediate left turn parallel to the road and then a right turn onto the old track. Vehicles must remain in the designated car park, and the gate must be closed and locked because surrounding fields contain livestock. The live fishery page and permit list allow night fishing with an additional permit. However, the linked map retains a no-night-fishing symbol, so night visitors should confirm permission with BAA first.
Rules
Follow the mapped Cotheridge-side bank only. Steep banks and fast flow. Use designated parking, do not drive across fields, and close and lock gates for livestock. Night permission disputed; confirm with BAA. BAA membership, appropriate rod licence and current association bye-laws apply. Check booked-water notices and statutory river close season.
