Free public bank fishing on the River Thames at Hills Meadow, Reading, close to Caversham Weir and the millstream, with mixed fast and slower water in central Reading. Fishing spaces are limited because of trees along the bank.

public bank only • An Environment Agency rod licence may be required in addition to the fishery/club permission. • Normal coarse river close season: 15 March–15 June inclusive, unless a different legal/species rule applies. • Carp and coarse fish: catch-and-release unless the fishery rules state otherwise.
