River Tone – Knapp to Newbridge
River Tone – Knapp to Newbridge is a Taunton Angling Association fishery on the River Tone in Somerset. It covers the first Somerset Levels section from Knapp down to Newbridge, where Environment Agency tidal gates hold the water back in summer. The association lists bream, pike and perch among the fish found here. Thick summer weed makes Knapp mainly a winter venue. Access is controlled through Taunton Angling Association membership, so anglers should hold a current club permit and follow the association rules before fishing. Parking points, exact peg positions and ticket prices are not listed here. River levels on the Tone can change quickly after rain, so check conditions and any club notices before travelling, and confirm the current boundaries with the association.
