East Stoke, Nottinghamshire

River Trent – East Stoke

East Stoke is a named Nottingham Piscatorial Society fishery on the navigable River Trent, distinct from the Society's Fiskerton and Rolleston waters. Its published guest-permit section is approximately three-quarters of a mile long and is specifically described as holding barbel, chub, pike, roach, river carp and dace. The official map places this fishing on the East Stoke side of the river, opposite Fiskerton, rather than granting rights along both banks. For guest permit holders, the upstream limit is by Nabb's Island, adjoining Scunthorpe Piscatorials' water, and the downstream limit is opposite the River Greet mouth below the Bromley Arms. The map also shows the wider members' fishery continuing beyond that guest limit. These different boundaries matter: a guest permit is not Society membership and does not convey unrestricted use of the full members' bank. The advertised guest season ticket costs £100, but the official application page currently says the allocation is sold out and no further applications are being accepted. Night fishing is prohibited. The map identifies several parking and approach routes, while detailed access instructions are reserved for successful applicants. No exact numerical access coordinates are published in the reviewed official material.
