River Wye – Belmont, Hereford (Pump House and City North Bank)

Belmont is Hereford & District Angling Association's left-bank River Wye fishing through the Pump House and City North Bank areas. This listing covers those connected access areas together, rather than presenting two separate permissions. The Pump House section begins around permanent peg one, with a shallow riffle giving way to deeper, steadier water towards the city. Downstream, the City North Bank continues through the urban match-fishing stretch towards the bridges. The association lists roach, dace, bleak, perch, chub, barbel and pike, with carp also present. Access paths around the city are well used, but the banks can be steep and slippery. Installed platforms must be used where available, and anglers should check river levels before setting out. Day tickets must be bought before fishing, not from the bank. Adult coarse tickets are £10 for one rod or £15 for two; a junior one-rod ticket is £5. Day-ticket fishing is sunrise to sunset, with no Sunday day tickets at Belmont from 1 September to 15 March. Use only the association's mapped banks and permanent pegs; parking arrangements differ between the Pump House, rugby-club and rowing-club access points.

Rules

Left bank looking downstream. Fish only HDAA mapped rights and permanent pegs; use platforms where available. Sunrise–sunset for day tickets. No livebait or freshwater deadbait for pike. Coordinate is the Pump House parking/access point, not a boundary.
