Airdrie & District Angling Club has held fishing at Hillend Reservoir for more than 70 years and states that it has the exclusive licence for all fishing there. The fishery is managed for trout during spring and summer before switching to its pike season through the colder months. Day-ticket anglers are welcomed during the trout season.
