Long-established Cheshire club with club-owned pools around Knutsford plus river fishing.
Altrincham & District Angling Club controls a number of waters in and around Knutsford and Trafford. Club-owned waters include Mobberley Pool and Shepherds Pool, which was built by members and first stocked in 1998. Other waters include Boothsmere, a Cheshire mere of about 10 acres near Knutsford producing carp over 30lb; Double Woods Pool, with sixteen refurbished pegs and a gated car park; Mereheath Lane Pool on the edge of Tatton Park; and Trafford Ecology Park. Members can also fish from the sailing club jetties on Budworth (Marbury) Mere and on stretches of the River Dane, Severn, Vyrnwy and Goyt.
