Ashford Angling Society

Ashford society with the five-lake Surrenden complex and Singleton Lake.

Ashford Angling Society was founded in 1902 and fishes waters around Ashford in Kent. Its main venue is the five-lake Surrenden complex, made up of Moorhen Lake, Mallard Lake, the Nightingale competition lake, Jay Lake for juniors and Crabtree Lake, a small crucian water. Singleton Lake in Ashford is a silver-fish water that also produces pike in winter, and the society has a limited-ticket syndicate fishery at Spider Hall. Members can also fish the River Rother through the Rother Fishery Association. Membership runs from 1 June to 31 May, and juniors under 14 fish free.
