Huntingdon-area society fishing the Great Ouse, local brooks and Sewells Lake.
Brampton Angling Society is based at Brampton, near Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire. Its fishing combines stretches of the River Great Ouse, where big-water feeder fishing is popular, with smaller running water on the Alconbury Brook and Bromholme Brook. Stillwater fishing includes Sewells Lake, a gravel pit known for its low stock of characterful carp, and the society also has fishing within Hinchingbrooke Country Park. The membership year runs from 16 June to 15 June, with adult, junior and concession categories and a winter ticket for the spring months. Membership cards are sold through local tackle shops.
