Bridgwater Angling Association

Historic Somerset club with ponds, drains, canal and river fishing.

Bridgwater Angling Association was founded in 1905 and is based in Bridgwater, Somerset. It owns Combwich Ponds, bought in 1969, and Dunwear Ponds, acquired in 2018, and gives members access to a wide network of Somerset Levels fishing, including the Bridgwater and Taunton Canal, King's Sedgemoor Drain, the North and South Drains, the Huntspill River, and the Rivers Brue, Parrett and Isle. In 2024 the association also took a lease on a stretch of the Warwickshire Avon. It manages the Somerset Levels Angling Club, extending access to former Wessex federation waters. Membership runs for twelve months from mid-June, with adult, concession and junior categories.
