Darlington Brown Trout Angling Association

Historic Darlington club fishing the Tees, Swale, Lune and Skerne, plus its own stillwaters including Lane Fox Pond.

Formed over 100 years ago, Darlington Brown Trout Angling Association is limited by constitution to 550 members, with OAP, ladies and junior sections. The club fishes several stretches of the Rivers Tees, Lune, Skerne and Swale, including water at Eggleston, Low Coniscliffe, Blackwell Bridge, Croft, Dinsdale and Middleton-in-Teesdale, and runs a busy programme of club matches throughout the season on the Tees and Swale. Alongside its river fishing, the club also owns stillwaters used for match and pleasure fishing, including Lane Fox Pond, which the club actively stocks with carp as part of its fishery management. Membership is limited and runs annually from January to January, with renewal periods opening and closing each year. The club shares some pond access with the separate Association of Teesside & District Anglers.
