Dartford & District Angling & Preservation Society
Large Kent society founded in 1931 with lakes around Dartford, Sutton-at-Hone, Horton Kirby and Hildenborough.
Dartford & District Angling & Preservation Society was established in 1931 and is one of Kent's largest angling clubs, with around 3,000 members. It manages a substantial portfolio of stillwaters across the Dartford and Sevenoaks districts, including the Brooklands lake near Dartford town centre, lakes at Sutton-at-Hone and Horton Kirby, Devon Road, Presidents and Spicers lakes, and Bennett's Lake at Hildenborough, together with stretches of the Rivers Medway, Beult, Teise and Darent. Many of its lakes began as gravel workings and now offer mature coarse fishing for carp, tench, bream, pike, roach and perch, with some carp well over 30lb. Membership is organised into full, rivers-only and companion categories, with a waiting list for full membership and keys required for enclosed waters. The society publishes regular news and stocking updates for members.

Full, rivers-only, companion and pre-junior memberships are offered. Full membership has a waiting list, applications must be proposed by an existing member, enclosed lakes need a key, and renewals close on 1 April each year.
