Dorset Arms Angling Club

East Sussex/West Kent coarse club with Burrswood and Ticehurst House waters.

Dorset Arms Angling Club is a coarse fishing club serving the East Sussex and West Kent border. It takes its name from the Dorset Arms at Withyham, where it was originally based, and now operates from the Crown Inn at Groombridge. The club controls the Top and Bottom Lakes on the Burrswood Estate near Groombridge and two ponds at Ticehurst House, holding carp, tench, bream, roach, rudd and perch, with a few pike at Ticehurst. Members also receive preferential access to some other local fisheries. Subscriptions are low with no joining fee, and juniors under 16 fish free. The club year begins on 1 May.
