Ely Beet Sports & Social Club Angling Section

Angling section of the Ely Beet social club, fishing the Great Ouse around Ely.

The angling section of Ely Beet Sports & Social Club, based at the social club on Lynn Road, Ely, is an organised coarse and match fishing club on the River Great Ouse. Its stretches around Ely, including the Queen Adelaide and Potters lengths, have hosted Angling Trust national qualifying matches, most recently in 2025. Bream, roach and other fenland species are the usual targets. Members carry a membership card, day tickets are available for visitors, and there is a junior membership for 14 to 17-year-olds, with younger children fishing free when accompanied. Updates are mainly shared on the section's Facebook page.
