Epsom Angling Society

Historic Surrey society fishing the Mole, the Wey and the Reffolds lakes at Newdigate.

Epsom Angling Society was founded in 1888 and, despite its name, fishes waters away from the town itself, at Cobham, Weybridge and Newdigate in Surrey. Members have river fishing on the River Mole at Cobham and the River Wey at Weybridge, along with two small stillwaters at Newdigate. Reffolds Bottom Lake, about an acre, holds carp, tench, bream, chub, rudd and roach, while Reffolds Top Lake, also around an acre, holds carp, tench, rudd and roach. The society has a long history of match fishing, and its season runs from 1 April to 31 March, with membership handled online.
