Fakenham, Norfolk

Fakenham Angling Club

Upper River Wensum chalk-stream fishing plus coarse lakes at Willsmore and Foxley.

Fakenham Angling Club gives members a mix of Norfolk fishing. The upper River Wensum runs clear through the town and out into open country, holding wild brown trout, dace and roach. The club's own Willsmore Lake, close to the town centre, is a reedy, lily-fringed water with carp, tench, bream, roach, rudd and perch, and hosts the club's community open day. Foxley offers further carp and mixed coarse fishing. Annual membership sits alongside advance day tickets, so the club suits regular members and newcomers alike.
