Fenton & District Angling Society

Stoke-on-Trent society founded in 1906, with pools, river and canal fishing across Staffordshire.

Fenton & District Angling Society was formed in 1906 to provide affordable fishing for anglers in Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding area. Its stillwaters include Miners Pool, a small, deep pool known for bream, tench and roach, the farm pond at Black Lake with big perch and bream, and Finney's Pools at Dilhorne, a stock-rearing complex offering mixed float fishing that suits juniors and beginners. Members also have river and canal fishing, including the River Dove, the Trent & Mersey Canal and the Caldon Canal. After two work parties, members can apply for free "white card" full membership, which adds further waters, night fishing, voting rights and card-share schemes with other clubs.
