Harwich Angling Club

Small coarse fishing club in north-east Essex, based around Bradfield Lake.

Harwich Angling Club is a small, volunteer-run coarse fishing club serving Harwich and the surrounding Tendring area of north-east Essex. Its main water is Bradfield Lake, a mixed fishery on a working farm at Bradfield. The lake doubles as an irrigation reservoir, so water levels can drop in dry summers and the club occasionally has to close it temporarily. The club previously also held Lane's Pond but gave up the fishing rights in August 2026. Membership is handled online, and members can bring a guest when a committee member is present. The club is run by an elected committee including a secretary, chairman, treasurer, fishery officer and bailiffs.
