Ilminster Angling Association

Somerset club fishing the River Isle, the Old Canal and Dillington Estate Pond.

Ilminster Angling Association looks after around seven miles of the River Isle between Eames Mill and Hambridge Bridge, where chub, dace, roach, perch and pike are found, and a short length of the Old Canal at Ilminster Recreation Ground known for carp, tench and bream. Its stillwater is Dillington Estate Pond, about a mile from the town, a small but deep pond holding a mix of coarse species. Fly fishing for trout is allowed on one upper stretch of the Isle using artificial lures or flies only. The association offers annual licences, including junior and concession rates, and day tickets, and is part of the Somerset Levels Amalgamation of Angling Clubs.
