Leatherhead & District Angling Society

Surrey society fishing the River Mole, Long Copse ponds and Ashtead Park lakes.

Leatherhead & District Angling Society was founded in 1947 and fishes waters around Leatherhead, Fetcham and Great Bookham in Surrey. Its main river fishing is just over two miles of the River Mole between Mickleham and Young Street, a shallow stretch with a big head of chub plus roach, dace, perch, bream and pike, and the deeper Fetcham Splash section. Stillwaters include the two Long Copse ponds at Great Bookham, holding carp, crucians, tench, roach, rudd and perch and popular with juniors, and two lakes in Ashtead Park with bream, tench, crucians, pike and roach. The society runs club and junior matches and an annual trout match.
