Ramsbottom Angling Association

Bury-area association with gated lodges, pools and river fishing, affiliated to the Angling Trust.

Ramsbottom Angling Association (RAA) is an Angling Trust-affiliated club offering fishing around Ramsbottom and Bury. Its waters include Crown Pools, two gated lakes off Brandlesholme Road in Bury, alongside Clarendon Street, Scholes Yard, Clarence Lido, Springwood Lodge, Hazel Hall Lane and Riggs, plus lodges and a section of the River Irwell at Burrs Country Park and the River Roche at Goshen Playing Fields. Scholes Yard is available to adult members as an optional extra. The membership year runs from 1 March, new members pay a one-off joining fee, and keys for the gated waters are issued through a Bury tackle shop. The club funds coaching and aims to make angling accessible to juniors and disabled anglers.
