Rye & District Angling Society

Rivers Rother, Brede and Tillingham plus the Royal Military Canal around Rye.

Rye & District Angling Society has served anglers around Rye for around a century. Members fish stretches of the Rivers Rother, Brede and Tillingham, the Royal Military Canal and the White Kemp sewer, and membership also brings access to the wider Rother Fishery Association waters. The society runs a Sunday match league from June to December, and recent work on the Rother at Newbridge added improved swims including accessible pegs. Junior members can fish Iden Wood Fishery free when accompanied.
