Shifnal Angling Club is an established Shropshire fishing club with roots dating back to the 1940s. It provides members with a mixture of traditional coarse fishing across a stillwater, river and canal venues in Shropshire and the West Midlands. Its waters include Gillies Pool at Codsall Wood, a section of the River Severn at Buildwas, the Shropshire Union Canal at Pendeford and the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal at Calf Heath. The club also organises matches and other activities for members. Gillies Pool offers fishing for carp, bream, tench, crucian carp, roach and perch. Members must follow the club's rules, including restrictions on night fishing.
