Thames Angling Society

Three farm lakes between Aveley and South Ockendon.

Thames Angling Society fishes three established lakes on farmland between Aveley and South Ockendon. Barn Lake, the oldest, is known for roach, tench, perch and F1s. Island Lake is the most popular, with a big stock of carp to mid-doubles plus bream and roach. Willow Lake holds plenty of smaller carp with bream, roach and perch, and hosts the club's Friday evening matches. Members keep the fishery in shape through regular work parties.
