Welney Angling Club

Fenland club fishing the River Delph and Old Bedford at Welney.

Welney Angling Club fishes the fenland waters around the village of Welney, on the border of Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. Its fishing is on the River Delph and the Old Bedford River and Counter Drain, slow, non-tidal channels that suit coarse anglers and hold pike and zander, for which the club has specific rules. Matches are fished under national rules. Alongside the annual membership, the club offers an unusual five-year membership, a specimen ticket and pre-booked guest day tickets sponsored by a member. Juniors under 16 fish free. Night fishing and camping are not allowed.
